Hi, i could see that you done a big and great job.
I’m doing this too, for a couples of weeks!! Trying to choose one to extend a hosting provider!
There’s any particulary reason to choose VHCS or SYSCP? I have tryed all this control panels and a few more!!! VHCS and SYSCP e great but I like GPL too, because the developement team is active and they have payed support and some great features!

But i’m also more interested in Kloxo (Lxadmin)! They have great features like CPanel and is multiserver. But no payed support, no 64 bits support (who uses 32bits in this days?).

ISPconfig is great to: Payed support, a few great features, development team active, high rated in sourceforge, full php, and a remote framework (to add clients and more task).

Thats my opinion but i don’t now what to choose!!!
    Any opinion on that?

      Hi Fabio,

The reason for me choosing syscp is because they supports some good 3rd party tools such as Awstats, Webalizer. Also has built in billing and support ticket system. Meanwhile i loved to use VHCS because of their control panel look which can be modified to suit our needs and the reseller features.

I have not heard about Kloxo before, thanks for mentioning it. I had checked the demo and it looks attractive. might test it out very soon.

The type of server CP depends on the need, if you are targeting for the hosting community you might opt to use control panels that has separate account for admin, reseller and user. On the other hand, if its targeting the corporate client with high end applications. Its best to have control panel such as virtualmin which provide great handling & performance monitor on the server.

    Hey,

Thanks for this awesome list but I am having some trouble to choose the right one. I have a VPS with 1.5Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM and 30GB HDD. I use the server only for Dynamic websites like Drupal, WordPress and Joomla and I also do some heavy banner rotation with OpenX. Which open source control panel will you recommend in this case? I am currently administering my server manually without any control panel and it is too time consuming for me!

    Thanks,
    Josh
